The Laser Wart Removal Procedure

Laser wart removal explained. Appearance of warts is not uncommon especially with children. They are mostly affected with this virus as they usually have scratches, open sores and would bite their nails that commonly invite the human papilloma virus (HPV).  And this is where development of wart starts.

There have been several procedures in taking out warts.  The most common treatments for warts are liquid nitrogen and electrodesiccation - most of these procedures are painful.  These treatments remove the warts but they do not prevent the warts from coming back again.

Laser wart removal is the most effective treatment in taking out warts.  This can be administered and safe to use for adults and children.  It can remove warts anywhere in the body like feet, fingers, face, and even on the genital area.  Often linked with cutting, acid and freezing procedures for removing warts - laser wart removal is less painful and does not cause discomforts.

Laser wart removal is no different with other laser removal treatments.  It also produces laser light that causes the removal of the wart.  In removing the wart, the wart tissue is being centered directly by the laser energy.  Most of the laser light surrounds the skin’s outer surface and focuses on the little bloody veins around the wart. The laser procedure can cause the patient to feel like something is  pricking him. A local anesthesia, though not usually necessary, can be used if needed by the patient.

Though some surgeons administer anesthetics to some sensitive areas, most laser wart removal procedures can be done without it.  Patients may experience slight swelling with this laser removal process.  In the days following the procedure, the layer of skin of the affected area will slowly go back to its normal form.

The usual treatment session for laser wart removal will take 10 to 30 minutes.  However, this also depend on the severity of the warts.  The frequency of the treatment will vary depending on your particular case.  A mere wart may need one or two times the procedure. 

While additional treatment sessions may be needed for deeper and stubborn warts.  Laser wart removal procedure maybe done once - and the wart will be removed permanently.  However, there are warts that need a second or third treatment before they are removed permanently.
